Huiling mainly helps the more heavily disabled from three-years-old onwards, through education and through specialized training for society integration. I, (name) 许国贤神父, am already there volunteering with them and for them. I’ve lived there for ten years. In these ten years, I’ve seen China look at these organizations helping the retarded with completely new eyes and attitude. From 2003 onwards, Huiling has felt the gift of helping others, building for the first time, household tailored to the needs of the mentally disabled called HuiYaShuin. In this integrated village - there are five volunteers and a housemother. We all share life’s happiness and sorrow with Huiling residents as a family. In the students attending their education program, there are some who are orphans, some whose parents are among the disabled; however, in this Family, they can find the parental love and familiar warmth they need. This special family has unknowingly affected all those around them, slowly gaining the respect they deserve.
            Building a disabled persons’ home, the hardest thing facing us is realizing the financial difficulties and even the absence basic needs facing them, like being fed. Thus the speed of building these compounds has been severely sluggish. If you can hear their voices, please, give them a hand, support their ventures, give them your love!
