Guangzhou Huiling

Huiling means “wisdom” and “soul” and expresses our commitment to help persons with mental disabilities to have a thinking mind and a loving heart.

Huiling is a non-government, non-profit, grass-roots organization founded in 1990 by a group of Chinese people, under the leadership of Mrs. Meng Weina. In order to meet the requests of many parents with children affected by mental disabilities, Huiling has extended its services to other parts of China. Homes have been established in Guangzhou, Beijing, Xi’an, Xining, Tianjin, Changsha, Chongqing and Qingyuan, etc.

Huiling was born as a simple shelter for mentally disabled persons. Now it includes various types of service and accepts persons with mental disabilities of any age and social condition. In Guangzhou Huiling looks after almost 300 persons with mental disabilities spread in various centers and in a dozen of family homes.

Huiling firmly believes that persons with mental disabilities have the same rights of others and therefore must be accepted and respected. Its dream is to create conditions where mentally handicapped have the right to ask and to get help from society. Huiling believed that persons with mental disabilities should live in society, much the same as ordinary people.

GIVES from long years is giving a lot of help to these less fortunate people in many different ways:
 1.Builting up the hostel for the children of the Special Primary School.
 2.Sponsoring a Casa-Familia (Home) for one year.
 3.Participating in Huiling’s fundraisings events.
 4.Contributing in buying a school bus.
 5.Volunteering.
 6.Aiding us with goods donation.
 7.Giving Sponsorship to poor persons with mental disabilities.
 8.Supporting cost-effective donation for equipment.
 9.Participating in Huiling’s fundraisings events
 10.Developing relations and friendship with the citizens.
 11.Promoting good image and the rights of the service users.
